Window Well Full of Water?
This summer's storms flooded window wells across the region. The fix is not a bigger pump or a plastic cover. It is a drain that actually reaches the weeping tile. We dig it by hand, rebuild the drainage, and test it with a running hose before we leave.
Dug by Hand.
Drained to the Tile.
We excavate the well by hand, down to your foundation's weeping tile. Then we rebuild the drainage the way it should have been built the first time.
A 24 inch mini dry well of 3/4 clear stone around the drain, wrapped in filter fabric so soil never silts it shut.
Every drain is tested with a running hose before we backfill, and documented for your records.
Hand digging works beside gas lines, patios, and gardens where a machine puts your property at risk.
Dig Once. Fix Everything.
The excavation is the biggest cost in any window well project, and your drainage fix already includes it. With the well open, upgrading to a larger legal egress window or a masonry well costs a fraction of doing it as a separate project later. Ask for both prices on the same visit and decide with real numbers in front of you.
We price the drainage fix and the upgrade together on one visit. No second excavation, no second mobilization. The drainage stands on its own either way.
They Called. We Dug.

Oct 2024★★★★★It started with a flood in my basement after a torrential rain storm. After calling several companies to dig out my window well, and a week of no responses from anyone, I decided to call Steve. Not only did he answer my call, he suggested something I never considered: opening up my existing tiny window and replacing it with a much larger window, as well as correcting the drainage in the window well. It was all completed within a week at an affordable cost.

Jun 2025★★★★★They dug by hand to prevent any damage to the foundation or surrounding, tied the drain to the weeping tile and tested it to confirm proper drainage. I could not be happier with the result and would highly recommend Egress Masters if you want quality work, fair pricing and a team that cares.

Jun 2026 · St. Catharines★★★★★From hand digging down to the weeping tile, testing the weepers for drainage, to backfilling with stone. One detail I was really impressed with: they place a high-quality filter fabric in the dug-out window well prior to backfilling with stone to protect the drainage longevity.
